How to install Photo Mechanic 4 on Windows XP

Click on the Photo Mechanic download link to begin installation, the Save As dialog should now appear:

Choose the Desktop as the destination for the installer and click the Save button to begin the download. Once the download is complete, click the Run button to start the Photo Mechanic installer. If the download dialog box was set to close when the download completes, then locate the "PMSetup4.5.3.exe" file on your desktop and double-click to run. The Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog will most likely appear; you must click Run to continue installation.

From within the Photo Mechanic Setup program:

• Click Next.
• Welcome dialog. Click Next.
• Read Me Notes. Click Next.
• The Software License Agreement.
• Photo Mechanic's Destination Directory. Click Next.
• Installation of Photo Mechanic. Click Next.
• Installation Progress dialog.
• Setup Completion dialog. Click Close.

Now that Photo Mechanic has been installed onto your computer, you can run the program by double-clicking on the "Photo Mechanic 4.5" icon located on your desktop:

Now click on the Register button and enter the Name/Company (Department if any) and Password we provided at the time of purchase. Make sure you're entering the information exactly as shown in the E-mail, or on a certificate provided with the software. Click Register once more to finalize the registration process.
